Following the indefinitely delayed Chinatown Market event, we’re now looking forward to War Games in Apex Legends.
Respawn has confirmed that it’s beginning soon and we now know what to expect from it.
Below, we’re counting down to the start of War Games with everything you need to know about the event.
It has been confirmed that War Games will start in Apex Legends on April 13 and will run for two weeks.
The actual start time of the event hasn’t been confirmed quite yet, but we’d expect it to be around the same time as Apex Legends’ events usually begin.
They tend to start at 1pm ET/6pm BST on the day of release. The last semi-major event, Chaos Theory, started at that time, so we’d expect War Games to follow suit.
As soon as the time is officially revealed, though, we’ll be sure to let you know.
The focus of the event is a rotating set of five limited-time modes. The confirmed event and changed rules are:
- Shield Regen: Shield regenerates
- Killng Time: round time is reduced whenever a Legend dies.
- Auto Banners: automatically retrieve fallen banners
- Ultra Zones: compete for top loot
- Second Chance: Get a free respawn

The War Games reward track has also leaked ahead of time, thanks to Apex Legends News on Twitter.
We’ll have more on the event’s rewards once it is live.
While the likes of the LTMs and Rewards Track information will be included in the patch notes, they haven’t been released quite yet.
They’ll probably be released by Respawn shortly before the start of the event, possibly on April 12.
As soon as they’re released, we’ll have them in full for you here.
For many, the skins are the most exciting part of any Apex Legends event.
While some have leaked ahead of time, which you can see here, we’ll have them all for you once they’re available.
